Oh hey guys!
I have always been ridiculously terrible at sticking to a skin care routine for as long as I can remember, even if I go out and buy a whole new array of products I find myself sticking to the routine for around 4 days or so. So this is my declaration to you my readers that I will be sticking to this routine for the whole month to see if it truly benefits my skin or not.
So first up it's key to note that my skin type is normal to combination, I get dry spots occasional oily spots and everything else is just red (wow I'm really selling myself!).
1. Step 1: Cleanse
So first up we have to get rid of all the gunk that accumulates on our faces during the day from the environment and any makeup that may have been applied. (In actual fact I am adding an extra step for if I wear any makeup, it will go before the cleanse.) For this first step I am using the liquid facial soap which leaves skin feeling fresh and squeaky clean, it is definitely not a harsh soap and no perfumes are used. All in all it is a good soap that doesn't leave your skin dry, stripped or tight and whilst the price of £16.50 may seem a tad bit steep for 100ml I think it isn't a terrible price baring in mind you only use 1/2 pumps per application.
2. Step 2: Exfoliate
The next step is definitely my favourite with this product, I feel that this is the best clarifying lotion I have used, it removes any of the leftover dirt that the cleanse step has missed, gets rid of the grit and dead skin that is left on our faces. For myself personally it does leave a tingle but it's one of the feelings that you accept as it doesn't hurt it just proves it working, right? Again this product is £16.50 but you really only need two spots on a cotton pad, it's that effective!
3. Step 3: Moisturise
Crucial step in my opinion as in the past I've had terribly bad dry skin, I still tend to get dry skin and in turn my foundation can turn slightly flaky. I know that the dramatically different moisturising lotion+ is raved about by several bloggers and youtubers and I am super psyched to try it out and see if it can correct my dry spots. £18
*EXTRA STEP!!!
Make-up cleanse (I do this when I feel like I am wearing a lot of make-up on my face or my skin just needs an extra cleanse).
For this step I use take the day off cleansing balm which is a hard balm you warm up in your hand and the newly formed creamy balm can be applied on your face to be massaged in and therefore the makeup comes off. I use this product when I am wearing make-up so I know for sure this does exactly what it says on the tin, this takes off all my make-up and I find that it terms of eye makeup it is pretty impressive. This is slightly pricer than the other products at £22 but you need the smallest amount at a time and is definitely something I don't think I could live without.
So this is my pledge to you guys, I might do a weekly update on my terrible spotty skin who knows?
Have any of you guys tried Clinique products?
That's all for now,

A quick glance at my beauty storage....
Oh hey guys!
It's been a while but if there is anything I love it's makeup and my bedroom has recently been decorated therefore I was able to finally buy suitable storage for my beauty items!
So this is just a quick peek into said storage....
I have the Ikea Malm Chest of 6 drawers which are a bit pricey at £79 but I feel like as an investment piece it is not too bad. I only use the first 4 drawers for my beauty items and as you can see the top lifts off to show another are to store and a mirror, I keep this open and my everyday makeup and items on show.
On the top: Everyday makeup (I will go more into depth about what is in this organiser and where I got it from on a later post), a random pot from paper chase (around £3-£5) which i use to hold my makeup brushes in ( all of which are real techniques). Also I have my perfumes on top to grab which ever one suits my mood that day (Anna Sui Sui Dolly Girl Eau De Toilette, Calvin Klein Downtown Eau de Parfum, Victoria Secret Love Spell and DKNY Be Delicious Eau de Parfum) a gorgeous heart ring holder from Tiger and a jewellery holder.
My fourth drawer is body and skin care, in the box to the left there are body lotions, creams, scrubs etc just every lotion and potion that you can possibly want. I am actually using the Clinique three step system so I may do a review on that at a later date. The top is usually where I keep random stuff like feminine products and spare face wipes and glasses. This leaves the area to the right of the box which is where I keep deodorant, cotton buds any spare lotion and shaving foam etc. I would definitely say this is my fullest drawer and the heaviest!
The last two drawers in my storage house my under garments and that completes the Malm 6 drawer storage! I hope you enjoyed the glance into my storage, if you want a more in depth look into a particular drawer comment below but until next time....

Drawer one: This is my makeup drawer, this is everything from primers to lipsticks. I don't have a lot of makeup no where near as much as I used to have, this is mainly due to the fact I don't hoard products if I don't get on with them I can't say I particularly own a lot of higher end products I am definitely much more of a drug store shopper. I will however invest in products if i have given them the right amount of research and if i know for sure that I will use them everyday or can give them enough love. I have to admit though recently I have been splurging at MAC but you guys will see that in the post coming up about my makeup organiser and everyday makeup.
Drawer two is the nail drawer, I don't believe I have a crazy amount of polishes or anything but I think it is a decent amount. My favourite polishes to get are Rimmel 60 seconds but I definitely want to invest in Essie polishes very soon. I have all you can need for nails from remover to nail scissors, files etc.
Drawer two is the hair drawer! This is one of my favourite drawers, I have always been attached to my hair and I can't even bare to cut it. In the middle section above you can see a box, this contains dry shampoos, hair spray, brushes and hair ties/ bobby pins. To the left is a selection of smaller bottles such as heat defence spray, curl activating cream and hair oil these are generally what I reach for. And finally to the right is my hair curler and straighter which I believe is the best high street straightener for thick hair! (buy here)
