I love fall tag!

Oh hey guys!

I know it has been a ridiculously long time since I have blogged but I promise you it was a combination of health concerns and straightening out my life, university work has taken up most of my time and I need to find a balance between university work, a social life and blogging. Anyway I know this tag is quite old but I figured since it's FREEZING here it would be most appropriate to do this one to ease me back into blogging. Here goes!

1. Favourite candle scent?
I have a slight obsession when it comes to candles particularly Yankee candles however my mum hates them and so she bans them! It kind of sucks that I can't have them at university however I get the safety precautions and why we can't. If I could have I would have got the Christmas cookie Yankee candle and burnt that throughout the Christmas period!

2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
I used to absolutely love English tea and drink it every day however lately it doesn't appeal so much to me and I don't get the same satisfaction from a warm cup of happiness anymore. So I would have to say from the choices it would have to be tea followed by hot chocolate as I absolutely HATE coffee! (Incoming hate) By that I mean Americano, I can't bring myself to try any more for fear of wasting money and poisoning myself.

3. What's the best fall memory you have?
I used to love Christmas Eve when I would sit around all day with my mum and do prep work for Christmas, there would be blankets and Christmas movies through the entire day. However I spent this Christmas Eve dressed as an elf and I came home super sick leading me to spend Christmas morning in bed trying to sleep myself to feeling better!

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
I would have to say that's a hard one but to be honest I love a dark lip, maybe like a purple it is super easy in comparison to trying to match up the wings on both sides! Dark purple is definitely a trend I love during fall/winter.

5. Best fragrance for fall?
I can't say I have a particular signature fragrance let alone changing them for seasons, I tend to pick up Down Town by Calvin Klein though as it has a sweet smell with a hint of muskiness so it is a lot more appropriate for fall.

6. Favourite Thanksgiving food?
We don't do Thanksgiving in England so I'm going to change it to Christmas food, I have to say I am a massive lover of roast potatoes especially when they are covered in goose fat! I could literally have a plate of roast potatoes with mint sauce and be a happy girl!

7. What is autumn weather like where you live?
Autumn weather in London tends to be mild with the slow progression of the temperature, we don't have any snow or anything we just have the bad temperatures that make you freeze to death without the beauty of snow. The most we get is sleet and iced over cars!

8. Most worn sweater?
I have built up quite a collection of fluffy jumpers that are super affordable and super cute, so far I have lilac, green and pink and I literally live in all of them. I think of it as a super bonus when someone hugs me and stays for a while, just convince myself it's because of me and not the fluffy jumper.

9. Must-have nail polish this fall?
I'm not too interested in nails I am way too lazy for that, however Rapid Ruby by Rimmel London has been a constant on my nails this winter. It has to be said it isn't the best at not chipping but it's easy to reapply drying in 60 seconds!

10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
Neither, my bed and a hot water bottle!

11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
Jeans, I'm not super confident in my body and with the cold weather jeans provide a bit more of coverage and protection from the harsh weather.

12. Combat boots or Uggs?
Considering I own neither I would say chunky ankle boots, they are a staple in any season and get a lot of love and wear from me!

13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
I don't believe I've tried this so I have absolutely no idea!

14. Favourite fall TV show?
We don't really have any seasonal shows except talent shows such as Strictly Come Dancing or X Factor out of the two I would have to say Strictly Come Dancing is more of my cup of tea not that I would be able to replicate some of their moves! Christmas is all about the build-up within the soaps and so the drama reaches a climax around this time.

15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?
The only Christmas song I have on my IPhone is Kelly Clarkson Underneath the Tree as its uplifting and makes me want to dance even if I am on the bus! (Don't worry I don't actually do it)

So that's it guys my 15 answers to the I love fall tag, it's super exciting to be back on here and I just want to thank all of my continuing readers as well as any new readers! It means a lot that you are here reading my small blog.

Love you all

Coat wishlist And My New Coat!!!

Hey my lovlies, its been a very cold time in London at the moment and you can definitely feel winter approaching so a good snuggly coat is an all time must. I've been browsing both online and in stores to ensure that I can get the best coat to do three things:
1. Keep me warm - I find a lot of coats are very cute but they do not keep me warm and in the past I've almost frozen to death rather than wear a coat that makes me look like Michelin man!
2. Be asthetically pleasing - aka it has to look nice, I absolutely hate fat coats that make you look like you're wearing a sumo costume like bleutgh!
3. Not cost a fortune - A lot of coats can border on what someone would pay for a new games console its totally not needed! My budget was around £100 max!

So here's what I found:

Quilted Boucle Coat from Miss Selfridge
-So this is the warmest coat (in my opinion) but its too cute, judging by the cream colour and the added detail of the panels at the bottom and the cute fluffy hood. At £69.00 it is a bit on the expensive side for a coat that may or may not keep you entirely warm all winter (I haven't tried it on) but it is something which could be an investment for the autumn and spring seasons, and something cute to wear out to school or everyday errand running.

Hinnata Belted Faux Fur Coat from Miss Guided
- So this is a cute classic in the shape of a fur coat, expectation of a fur coat is warm and style so hence why this is in my coat wishlist. With Winter fast approaching it is extremely important to stay warm and cut the risk of freezing to death. This coat is in three different colours, white, black and Grey all staple colours allowing the style aspect of it to be intertwined with whatever outfit you see fit. It is on the pricey side again at £74.99 but it brings an edge to any outfit and its something I'm incredibly tempted to buy in the upcoming weeks.

Short Wadded Jacket from Next
-This is a simple black "puffa" style jacket in a length to your waist, this wouldn't be my first choice for a coat but it is a practical jacket that's purpose is to keep you warm. The only problem I have with this coat is the lack of a hood, a hood is important especially in the winter months to keep your head warm (as strange as that sounds) but most of your body heat gets taken from your head as its the most exposed part of your body. It is on the cheaper side of all of these coats so far at only £50 and would be something to definitely look out for.

Padded Jacket from H&M
- This is again a basic black jacket that only meets your waist but it's fleece lining ensures that the cold stays away. It has a cute removable fur edge for the hood that adds a cute characteristic and a drawstring at the waist can be used to add emphasis to your body shape. It is a reasonable price at £39.99.

Borg lined Parka Jacket from Topshop
- This is the coat which I got bought (as part of my Christmas present) and I fell in love with the fluffy hood and the borg lining which is detachable for use in warmer months. It isn't the cheapest coat at £95 but it is definitely an investment piece which can be worn throughout the months. The khaki colour adds a sense of self ease when it comes to pairing with an outfit, definitely a colour that can be used with pretty much any other colour. It also comes in petite or just the regular section at Topshop so if the coat is to long for you then perhaps try the petite version as it sits a bit shorter than the average size.

(Ignore the fluffy slippers) Here is the length of it on me 5'4 (ish).

So what coats are you guys looking at for the cold winter days?

That's all for now
