Updated Hair Routine/ Care

Oh hey guys!

It's been ages since I've done a hair routine, I noticed that it was one of my top 10 read post on here and it has changed significantly so it was in order! I'm not going to go into crazy depth because it is self explainatory in product and use so I hope you enjoy!

1. So first it is key to note my hair is dyed so I always attempt to make an effort with keeping it nourished and maintained hence the products in this step. Obviously I have to use shampoo and conditioner, I tend to mix them up but I have been going back to this combo because of the results I can feel and see. The products mentioned are L'oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing shampoo (quite a mouthful) followed by L'oreal Paris Elvive Colour Protect Caring Conditioner. This combination combats my fears with colour and also the shampoo is targeted at dry, dull and rough hair I also feel that it adds a shine.

2. Before washing out the conditioner I use my Tangle Teaser Aqua Splash and brush out the millions of knots and tangles that occur within curly hair. This can be time lengthy and painful but I feel like my hair behaves better when I've attempted to brush it in some way. Next I wash it out.

*Please excuse the manky brush*

3. The next products are not always used they are optional, I just have these on hand in case my hair needs a bit of TLC. The first being Bleach London's Reincarnation Mask that was recommended to me by my friend Natalie, it targets dyed and coloured hair to repair and moisturise it. I found this to be amazing at making my hair shine, the only issue I have being the packaging as it's awkward to hold comfortably after squeezing down (see image). The other mask I've recently bought is the Toni & Guy Nourish Reconstruction Mask which essentially has the same job as the previous mask. I can't say I've used them recently (I probably should) so I can't really compare as of yet but if you guys did want a comparison post or review then let me know.

4. Next is the productI use on my hair when it's been washed yet it is still damp, I have been sticking to one in particular which I highly recommend for curly hair, that product being Tresemme Expert Selection Perfectly Undone Waves Creating Foam. I apply this like you would a mousse so tipping my hair upside down I use about 2 pumps at a time and scrunch it into my hair. I find the more you work it the more defined your curls will become. Usually I prefer washing my hair at night so after applying this I rest my hair above my pillow and let it dry overnight.

* I am aiming to try a new product, Bed Head TIGI On The Rebound Curl Recall Cream, I bought this at my local salon whilst getting my hair done it's mainly used when diffusing (which I don't do) so I am dubious of using it.

5. I let me hair dry overnight and then the curls appear, sometimes they behave and other times it can be testing.

So that's it, my new and super easy updated hair routine/ care I hope you enjoyed and I answered any hair questions you may have had. If you have anymore just leave them below and I shall answer.

(A terrible picture of the outcome with my hair)

That's all for now,

My favourite shoes!

Oh hey guys!

I decided to be a bit more brave and dip my toes into the world of fashion, I tend to stay away from fashion posts because I feel like I am hardly one to lead the way for trends or fashion. This is hardly that to be fair, it is just an inside look into my favourite shoes ( six to be exact) my initial post was going to be one all about my heels but then I have heels that I never wear so it changed to this. I hope you guys enjoy the post it was interesting trying to balance my camera on a stack on books to get the right height!

1. Gold Glitter heels - Dorothy Perkins (unavailable)

These shoes were originally bought 3 years ago for my Sixth form prom (See Post ) and in all fairness this is the only time I have worn them due to me generally freaking myself out when I wear heels. I get self conscious with the height and balance and the way I walk but it is something I am working on, so hopefully I can venture out in them soon. I believe they were retailing at somewhere between £20-£30 at the time and I honestly think they look beautiful and can jazz up any LBD!

2. Primark Mids (unsure if still available)

I bought these beauties around about April time I believe they were £13 which is a good bargain considering many other retailers sell similar shoes for around the £20+ mark. I was introduced to these through the lovely Kayleigh from couture girl whose Instagram post made me run to Primark and snap them up. I don't find them ridiculously comfy but that may just be me not being used to any kind of heel no matter how small.
p.s: Check Kayleigh out her Instagram alone makes my bank account quiver and her fashion is just amazing!

3. New Look Cleated Soles (unavailable)

If I am completely honest these are my recent most worn shoes mainly because of the colour and slight height also the fact that my tattoo is still healing and these give it a chance to have fresh air and be seen! These retailed at £25 and are super comfy!

Here's a picture of them in use!

These were my first expensive shoe purchase, I loved these as soon as i saw them and sixth form was the perfect excuse to get them. Let's not lie they are super expensive at £90 but they are good quality, comfy (although you do have to wear them in to where it's not so rigid) and classic! I love styling them with frilly socks as you can see from the pictures, it just adds a bit of femininity with the "mannish" appearance of them.

Now my obsession with having creepers started around the same time I got my Dr Martens, it was almost a punk-ish phase, I did not have a lot of money due to the previous purchase so when I saw these on sale at Office for £35 I just had to get them. I don't tend to wear them as often as I should but when autumn comes round I shall be digging out the creepers!

Black ankle boots or any boots are a staple needed in everyones wardrobe, I actually went without any black boots for several months and it caused me a headache.  These were a steal for under £20 are super comfy and are easily teamed with many an outfit.

So there you have it, although brief those are my favourite pairs of shoes.
That's all for now.

My favourite little area....

Oh hey guys,

I decided today would be a little different, I would love to give a bedroom tour but my room is super tiny and not that interesting. Therefore I have dedicated this post to my favourite little area, aka my shelf....

I wanted my bedroom to look clean and peaceful so the majority of things are plain white, the reason the shelf is my favourite is because it is a staple item with colour and random things that make me happy.

This is a brief overlook on my shelf of colour, it houses everything I love or want to put on display for how beautiful it looks. The fairy lights also make my room super cosy when my black out blind is pulled down I believe they were around £3 from Tesco they are just a semi- long length of heart shaped lights that add a little something.

To the far right of my shelf (closest to my bed) is a beautiful Glossybox from the French edition, I had to keep this due to the illustration on the front it just adds an awesome touch. It is slightly hidden by my small collection of Rimmel nail varnishes, but these are my new obsession and I love to keep them on show to add a pop of colour.  The colours in order are: Black Cherries, Rain rain go away, Go wild-er-ness, Rose libertine, Orangina, Silver bullet and White hot love.

Along the middle section of my shelf is a cheap and cheerful magnifying mirror which I use if I get ready at my desk rather than in front of my mirrored wardrobe, these are super inexpensive I think I picked this up for something like £5 at Asda a few years ago. I won't run you through the perfumes or ring holder or even the brushes as there is a post I did earlier when I had them displayed in my vanity drawers (See post). However I do have a selection of books that I adore, Pretty honest by Sali Hughes is a new cult favourite of mine any tips or tricks I need to know about anything beauty related is in this pretty pink book. Also I have #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso which has definitely helped me with a new outlook on my life and the direction I want it to go! Finally I have Love, Tanya by Tanya Burr as she is a youtuber I have watched for years and her book is a compilation of not only stories but tips, tricks and recipes.

The area to the far left is my special area, my prized possession is the photo I have from my sisters baby shower with one of my best friends Jessica (far right) she unfortunately lost her life last year to SUDEP ( sudden unexpected death in epilepsy) and there is not a day I do not miss her so she is always in my bedroom to not only remember her everyday but to know life is short and to live it for her. On top of the frame I have a floral crown I wore to my first year university summer ball which I love. Finally is my camera which I think is pretty crap but I cannot bring myself to get rid of it so I tend to use my iPhone for pictures.

So there you have it, my favourite little area, I hope you enjoyed.

That's all for now,

Hair transformation!

Oh hey guys!

A lot has happened to my hair in the last week and so it seemed suitable to share it with you lovely readers. I wanted a change since my hair had been somewhat ginger for the past year, I debated whether to be mature and go for a natural colour (brown) or been a little bit more adventurous and go bright. So obviously I chose the latter, I am not one to stick to the natural side with my hair I reckon in about a year I will go brown mainly for my sisters wedding.

This is a few pictures I took of my hair before the transformation, as you can see my roots were coming through pretty badly and my hair was just in a semi bad condition. My initial plan was to go for a burgundy tone and have a lot taken off the length.

This was the final outcome!
It's a vibrant red that makes me look like a beacon at night, the hair cut didn't go exactly right so I plan to get that trimmed pretty soon.

What do you guys think?

That's all for now,
