When one relaxes....

Oh hey guys!

I just came up with a cool post idea, many you tubers do this so I thought I would translate it over to blogger. This is some of the many thing's I do on a pamper night/ relaxing day....

Okay Lush fanatic over here, I love indulging in a Lush bath bomb, this one was called "Pop in the bath" me being me literally did this however it is one you crumble under the running water. Anyone it leaves a beautiful pink bubbly bath that smells incredible. There is nothing quite like a nice hot relaxing bath huh?

Before I pop myself in the bath (did you see what I did there -giggles- ) I typically like to apply a face mask, my face mask of choice was Sanctuary 5 minute thermal detox mask. This is great for naturally bringing all the nastiness out of your skin, it is a heating mask that applies smoothly and feels great. I leave this on throughout my bath but as the title implies you only have to leave it on for 5 minutes.

*Note: Comfy pyjamas are my choice of clothing from here on!
I am quite lucky to have a blackout blind in my bedroom so down that goes and on my fairy lights go on (I actually love this area of my room). I feel peaceful and rested in this kind of environment, especially since I've had a hot bath and a cleanse.

Anything can happen at this point, I could catch up on Youtube videos, creating blogging content take a nap etc. However on this occasion I was snuggled under my fluffy blanket watching The Walking Dead and snacking on Malteasers, I think everyone deserves a chance to just be able to take a minute for themselves to relax and watch what they want.

I have recently discovered the art of adult colouring in, it is suppose to be calming and some even claim stress relieving so I was first to jump up to Whsmiths. I realise I need to invest in crayons or actual felt tips but surprisingly these pens were recommended to me by the sales lady.

Anyway my relaxing day would probably end with tea, catching up on soaps and then bed.
What do you guys get up to?

That's all for now.

Truth out.... Running out of steam and inspiration!

Oh hey guys,

Okay so you may have noticed a post didn't go up on Friday like it was planned? I bet half of you are like "it's happened before, it's nothing new" well the truth of the matter is I did not actually know what content to post for you lovelies.

I've kind of been in a negative space for days now and the inspiration to blog is dwindling, don't get me wrong I love looking on blogger and seeing that people from all over the world are reading my blog (best feeling ever!) but there comes a point where I think is it enough? This does not mean I am leaving blogger it just means that half the time I stress about providing good content to you, my lovely readers, I want to see a blog that reaches out and can entertain and not be the same old stuff. I do not want to blog something half- heartedly, this is a chance for you guys to have input and let me know what you want me to blog about, any tags or questions you want me to answer....

I have some cool ideas I just have to get the ball rolling and I will trust me, I am aiming to do more OOTD/OOTN, make-up hauls, maybe even tutorials and reviews but right now I just have to clear my head rest and come back full force. There will be better content and a new post next week (hopefully) I'm sorry if any of you feel let down that is never my intention...

As I said before any suggestions of posts are welcome,
That's all for now.

Updated What's in my bag...

Oh hey guys!

So I believe it's been at least a year since my last what's in my bag post, and I can say my handbag and the contents have definitely changed in the past year.

First off my bag is a small tote from Topshop, I love the classic design and structure and I think this bag can be so dynamic with the many outfit possibilities that it could be matched with. I have to admit this bag is no longer available on the Topshop website however there may be a chance that a few will be floating around certain stores and at £32 it could be deemed as a good investment.

In the slot closest to the back I only have my purse, this is a recent purchase from River Island as there is currently a sale on and I managed to snag this for only £12! I think you can only buy this in pink now but as it mainly consists of card slots it is perfect for me as I rely solely on my card! It also has enough space for me to slot my passport in the middle (yes I am someone who still uses it as ID!)

Another thing I love about this bag is the fact that it has a middle pouch that you can choose to take out (I never do) I keep in it everything I might need to grab quickly such as earphones and my house keys, I also keep emergency things such as bobby pins and plasters because really you just never know!

Finally is the slot closest to the zip at the front which contains all necessary junk such as the bottle of water that HAS to be with me at all times, an asthma pump for obvious reasons, lipstick, deodorant, tissues, hand sanitiser and notes and pens. All essential right?

This is the overview of the bag with the contents in, as you can see its sleek and organised. Perfect!

I hope you enjoyed snooping in my bag..
That's all for now,

The Clinique skin system

Oh hey guys!

I have always been ridiculously terrible at sticking to a skin care routine for as long as I can remember, even if I go out and buy a whole new array of products I find myself sticking to the routine for around 4 days or so. So this is my declaration to you my readers that I will be sticking to this routine for the whole month to see if it truly benefits my skin or not.

So first up it's key to note that my skin type is normal to combination, I get dry spots occasional oily spots and everything else is just red (wow I'm really selling myself!).

1. Step 1: Cleanse
So first up we have to get rid of all the gunk that accumulates on our faces during the day from the environment and any makeup that may have been applied. (In actual fact I am adding an extra step for if I wear any makeup, it will go before the cleanse.) For this first step I am using the liquid facial soap which leaves skin feeling fresh and squeaky clean, it is definitely not a harsh soap and no perfumes are used. All in all it is a good soap that doesn't leave your skin dry, stripped or tight and whilst the price of £16.50 may seem a tad bit steep for 100ml I think it isn't a terrible price baring in mind you only use 1/2 pumps per application.

2. Step 2: Exfoliate
The next step is definitely my favourite with this product, I feel that this is the best clarifying lotion I have used, it removes any of the leftover dirt that the cleanse step has missed, gets rid of the grit and dead skin that is left on our faces. For myself personally it does leave a tingle but it's one of the feelings that you accept as it doesn't hurt it just proves it working, right? Again this product is £16.50 but you really only need two spots on a cotton pad, it's that effective!

3. Step 3: Moisturise
Crucial step in my opinion as in the past I've had terribly bad dry skin, I still tend to get dry skin and in turn my foundation can turn slightly flaky. I know that the dramatically different moisturising lotion+ is raved about by several bloggers and youtubers and I am super psyched to try it out and see if it can correct my dry spots. £18

*EXTRA STEP!!!
Make-up cleanse (I do this when I feel like I am wearing a lot of make-up on my face or my skin just needs an extra cleanse).
For this step I use take the day off cleansing balm which is a hard balm you warm up in your hand and the newly formed creamy balm can be applied on your face to be massaged in and therefore the makeup comes off. I use this product when I am wearing make-up so I know for sure this does exactly what it says on the tin, this takes off all my make-up and I find that it terms of eye makeup it is pretty impressive. This is slightly pricer than the other products at £22 but you need the smallest amount at a time and is definitely something I don't think I could live without.

So this is my pledge to you guys, I might do a weekly update on my terrible spotty skin who knows?
Have any of you guys tried Clinique products?

That's all for now,

5 inspirational bloggers to me

Oh hey guys!

This has been a post waiting in the wings, I have previously blogged about a single inspirational blogger but I think that this time I will collect my thoughts and introduce you to the top five inspirational bloggers to me over the previous couple of months.

Ashleigh Lily Dougherty  (AKA Being Ashleigh)

I am lucky enough to have met Ashleigh personally several times as at one point both of our mum's worked together, I've known her since she was around 15 (guess) and so it's incredible to have witnessed Ashleigh's progression over the years. Ashleigh was the reason I began writing a blog, I wasn't particularly aware of the blogger situation and so reading her blog gave me an insight. One of the many things I love about Ashleigh's blog is that it is so relatable to everyone out there and she is cut and dry, she doesn't sugar coat anything and I think that her recent post on the truth about blogging (see here) is super important to everyone who reads any kind of blog. Ashleigh's blog has a large selection when it comes to the content so there is literally something for everyone, I would definitely recommend reading it!

Avia (AKA TheSparkleicious)

For around a year or two I have been watching Avia's youtube videos, this was mainly because it was a time when I was struggling with my bush of natural curls on top of my head and I stumbled over her channel. Let me tell you now I find it so hard to find women on youtube with natural curls willing to leave them natural and her routine helped me control my locks. From that point on I subscribed to her channel and I haven't looked back, she is constantly updating her blog and youtube channel with outfit posts, tutorials and if that isn't bad enough she is a stunner whose Instagram makes me dwell on her beauty!

Gracie Francesca (AKA Uglyfaceofbeauty)

Now Grace is an absolute icon as far as I am concerned, both her blog and her youtube are a treasure chest for any woman and her down to earth personality means she will make you feel at home regardless of what platform you are viewing. For me Grace has been amazing when it comes to raising awareness for many things in the world including depression and even did a tag with her best friend Asia regarding her problems with self harm (see here). It has been amazing as a youtube viewer to see her gaining her happiness and confidence back with the help of her loved ones, including Simon. There is so much to say but rather than spill my guts out I will just urge you to read her blog and subscribe to her Youtube channel!

Tilly Jayne (AKA TillyJayne)

I am lucky to have been able to fan girl over Tilly responding to tweets I've sent her, mainly because she had previously been in my inspirational blogger series, and here she is again! Tilly definitely has an eye for fashion and I love being able to snoop on her fashion and wardrobe choices, although in all fairness it makes my bank account shake in fear and my hands twitch with the choice to buy or not to buy. In all fairness not all of what Tilly can pull off can be replicated on my body so I think my bank account should rest easy. I think the most inspirational thing that Tilly has done for me is the fact she has recently finished her degree with a first class and been able to balance a blog, this is something I have always struggled with and gives me hope for the next two years of my life! Congratulations again Tilly!

Leanne Woodfull (AKA Thunderandthreads)

I have been a long time blog reader of thunderandthreads and I have loved the fashion that appears from Leanne, she truly gives her readers an insight into her personal tastes as well as showing (through collaborations) what several stores and companies can offer her readers.  She to me is inspirational to me due to her fight in what she believes in, recently Leanne was at the forefront of the fight for Ireland to have gay rights and the fight for the marriage to be deemed legal. A true warrior in my eyes!

So there is my selection of inspirational bloggers, who is yours?
That's all for now guys!
