Inspirational Blogger of the Week #4 - InTheFrow

Oh Hey guys!

So I haven't done one of these posts in a while so here it comes back at you. Today it's all about Victoria from In The Frow!

Not only is victoria an amazing gorgeous lady but she is a true icon of mine in the face of fashion and beauty. Besides  who can say anything about someone who manages to pull of both pink an purple hair!!!??!!

Her instagrams make me jealous of all the beautiful things she owns, how she can create beautiful outfits but not only that, her YouTube channel enables me to recreate looks that make me look flawless (if possible).

All in all what I'm saying is follow her, subscribe to her channel, you may lose a few hours browsing and being captivated but you will add an icon to your life

That's all for now

OOTN: Gothic Nights

Oh Hey Guys!

I know, I suck at being consistant on my blog but to be fair half the time I do ridiculous hours at work and the other half of the time I'm in a sleeping coma. However today I bring you a brand new post WOOOOO!

As you can tell from the title it is another outfit of the night, my last outfit post went down an absolute storm and so I figured whatever you guys enjoyed I would provide, so here goes nothing.

So my sister gave me this dress as a hand me down about a year ago and it's been hiding in my wardrobe ever since. I thought I'd style it at the off chance that I do ever where it.

I'm not actually sure where she got it from but the intricate lace detail on the front and back of the dress make it feminine among the harsh black. It can be deemed as a very short but the longer back somehow manages to balance out the problem. I teamed this dress with a simple black and gold clutch bag from Dorothy Perkins, a steal at a tenner, and some simple black chunky heels from Primark.

Terrible photo I know but I always find it hard to take pictures of my make-up, anyway I tried to keep my face neutral with a neutral few eyeshadows from my Naked 3 Palette, a light contour and a little flicked eyeliner. The main vocal point of course is my lipstick which is the Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 making this outfit ever more gothic.

I hope you like the post guys and sorry to keep you waiting.

What's In My Bag? (Work Edition)

Oh Hey!

Sorry for the late upload I found myself in A&E on Wednesday night after suffering a head injury at work so I've just been resting to get ready for a 10 hour shift on Sunday. Anyway lets get on with it!

I love reading other peoples blog posts or Youtube videos on what's in there bag, I guess I am kind of nosey in that respect, so now I've decided to make my own. This is what is in my bag... work edition.

So the bag I am currently using for work is my Topshop Red Winged twist bag which they have since stopped selling. I was lucky enough to receive this from my parents for Christmas and I absolutely adore it. It is just a standard inside as well with a normal pocket and a mobile phone pouch, the lining is the same as the red on the outside.

Okay so here goes, from left to right!

Black Apron: So obviously seen as this is a work edition I have to have my apron on me, I work as a waitress for anyone who doesn't know and we can't actually work unless with have an apron on. Weird I know, but for anyone who wants to flaunt there body then you can pretty much tie the apron to accentuate your shape! (WORK)

Micros Clock In Card: Again a necessity for work, we have to have this every shift to clock in and out and to put through any orders. (WORK)

Black Umbrella: Simple, an umbrella in the UK is a must!!!! (PRIMARK)

Earphones: This is definitely a must have for me, I can't leave home without them. I can't physically sit on a bus in silence which is probably why I spend so much on Itunes! (APPLE)

Black Purse: I prefer these kind of purses because they aren't bulky and in case you need to swap your bag to something more compact then they won't need to be swapped either. (H&M)

Pink Tangle Teaser Hairbrush and hair ties: Okay so I think this is the kids version but I picked this up due to the fact that my hair has to be up for work so this and the hair ties come in handy. (BOOTS)

Selection of Cards: Bank Card, Discount Card etc.

Badge: Again a must have for work as much as I hate people knowing my name! (WORK)

Baby Lips: I actually love Peach Punch the best, it gives a nice sheen of colour on your lips and smells amazing.  (BOOTS)

Victoria Secret Spray: This is by far my favourite scent ever, its called angel and I constantly get compliments on how nice it smells!!! (VICTORIA SECRET)

Sample Size of Molton Brown Hand Cream: The smell isn't my favourite but after washing your hands hundreds of times in one night sometimes you need a hand pick me up and this does exactly that!! (BIRCHBOX)

Benefit Lip Gloss: This is just a nice pick me up when I want super shiny soft lips! (BENEFIT)

A pile of coins: Who doesn't need coins?!?

This is it!
What's in your bags?

OOTD: Bipolar Weather!

Oh hey guys!

So yesterday's weather was mad! When I got out the door it was cloudy and cold so I shoved on my fluffy pink Primark Jumper and Chunky New Look boots. By the time I was coming back home some half an hour later I was all sticky and hot. Not a pleasant feeling!

This is just a simple outfit of the day (I changed when I came home as it was hot and this is it).

So I have been wanting to wear this gorgeous Black and White Kimono from Matalan for a while now and I figured since it was suppose to reach highs of 20 degrees yesterday it was the perfect time. I managed to snag it in the sale a few months ago for around £12 so I am so happy I could finally wear it. I teamed it with a Boohoo white cropped tshirt that is inexpensive at £4 and a bargain pair of Shaper jeans from New Look (again in a sale at a tenner!)

This outfit is without a doubt a bargain outfit, under £30!

I kept my makeup fairly natural and neutral, if you want to see a makeup tutorial just let me know!

Thats all for now!

My First Birchbox!

Hey Guys,

I recently decided to sign up to Birchbox as there have been many good reviews and the products seem to be amazing and there seems to be a good range of products. I was lucky enough to be in time to receive the Lulu Guinness Edition of the box which includes a beautiful designed slip (is that the word?) to go over the original Birchbox.

The slip has two designs front and back, both bold and fabulous. Lulu Guinness uses the black and white stripes throughout the box as she to includes a inscripted "rock" sweet in the same design.

This is an overview of  what I received, there were a few leaflets including a special book that had Lulu Guinness' views and opinions on stuff. For a Birchbox virgin I found that the box and bag were super cute and can easily be used around the house again.

So now the bit everyone has been waiting for, the products.

English Laundry (English Laundry Signature For Her EDP Spray For Women)
" Tap into the very essence of an English country garden with this beautifully fresh fragrance. Envelope yourself in top notes of rose geranium and creamy white flowers set against a woody spicy and musky tones"
I personally love this fragrance it only takes one spray to last an entire day, handy considering its a sample size. A cute essential for any woman's handbag.

Dr Brant Pores No More (Pore Refiner)
"Targeting one of skincare's biggest issues, Dr Brandt's amazing Pore No More refiner gives a quick fix for oily complexions helping to hide pores, absorb oil and mattify shine. The silky smooth formula glides effortlessly onto the skin releasing microspheres which diffuse the light It also contains Tea Tree Oil for its essential antibacterial properties."

I do tend to suffer with bad pores but I don't have oily skin, I found this to be oily in itself but did give off the silky texture that every woman desires. Overall I prefer the Porefessional Face Primer in comparison.

Korres Citrus Body Milk
"With a nourishing and soothing combination of almond oil, aloe, shea butter and provitamin B5, this lotion will leave your skin feeling super-hydrated throughout the day. The lightweight formula's citrusy scent is the perfect morning pick-me-up ritual. Plus, there are no parabens,
silicones, or other synthetics and the packinging is all recyclable".
This is in no way something I would think of buying I don't particularly like the smell of the expensive price tag. However it is always handy to have a travel size of anything and this is no exception.

Benefit Stay Don't Stray (Light/Medium)

"This little gem is foolproof way to ensure that your undereye concealer and eyeshadows stay put from morning to night. It comes in one surprisingly versatile shade that brightens underneath and above the eye. The lightweight formula blends in easily and won't clog the delicate skin around the eyes".I am a major Benefit fan I tend to have at least 3 of there products on my wishlist at one time. I find this Primer for the eyes and concealers to be effective, normally I would need to touch up or feel like the makeup is fading however with this product I am able to see a huge difference. Definitely on my wishlist.

Molton Brown Replenishing Hand Cream (Rhubarb and Rose)
"This luxury intensive hand cream not only smells temptingly sweet, it's instantly absorbed after application - so you can get straight back to what you were doing. White truffle extract ensures your hands stay soft, along with moisturising rose extract."
I must admit I am pretty bad when it comes to using any kind of cream so this gives me a push to use it more. Its nourishing and smells of summer definitely something to crack out when you need to give your hands some TLC.

So to anyone thinking of signing up to Birchbox I would suggest you do so, it is a cute little box that any beauty lover would enjoy and its super affordable!

The Beauty Scenario TAG

The Questions:

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?

This one is particularly hard for me I shop 95% based on drugstore mainly because I'm not rolling in money yet, so the ratio of high end to drug store is a tad biased. However the drug store foundation I'm picking is based on the length of time I've used it for, it was the first foundation that didn't apply to my dry skin and turn into skin flakes (ewww gross I know). So the foundation in question is GOSH X-Ceptional Wear Foundation in Porcelain, not only is it a perfect fit for someone with dry skin but it was one of the first foundations that had my skin tone. It is average on the price scale at £7.99 and can be picked up at your nearest Superdrug.

I only own two "high end" foundations in the shape of Benefits Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow! and Estee Lauders infamous Double Wear foundation. Out of the two I definitely reach for Benefit more, it blends better into my face and offers a complete coverage that both matches my skin tone and enhances it. The foundation itself is also packaged beautifully in fact it is something that can be put on display in any room. You can grab your own bottle at Boots and its something I would recommend. Estee Lauder foundation made my skin flaky and I believe that I got given the wrong colour foundation which didn't help my view, I see why people rave about this foundation but with my skin now it doesn't quite work. You can pick your foundation Boots both foundations retail in there 20's which is almost 3 times more than GOSH.

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

I think in this kind of situation I wouldn't draw attention to the issue, I feel that if I was to do such a thing then the interviewer would feel self conscious and it may count against me. The least I would do would be to do subtle things such as licking my own teeth in a hope that they would do the same.

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

I don't tend to wear lipstick a lot and when I do it's dramatic, a simple red lip never fails to make me feel amazing, my ultimate favorite has to be Fatal Red by Maybelline. It's cheap and cheerful and I feel like it suits my complexion pretty well.

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

I didn't actually start to wear make-up until I was at least in year 10 (or Sophomore year) but I definitely went through a stage of wearing things that were the complete opposite of how God intended me to be. I straightened the life out of my natural curls, dyed it almost black and wore foundation that was darker than I was. I would shake the life out of myself if I could and tell myself to stick to natural stuff, don't be someone else for anybody just be true to you.

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.

To be honest I would never ask for anything that short I am way to attached to my hair but let's say I do. In all honesty it would be the first option, I'm not generally someone who confronts someone or argues my mum however would march over there and demand that they fix it and give all my money back.

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

Oh how I would love that friend! I don't tend to have a lot of high end makeup palettes in fact all of my palettes are affordable drug store brands. The MUA Undressed Palette is an amazing dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette so it combines all natural and glowy tones and shades to create both day and night looks anywhere.

7. Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?

I don't have one particular thing in my makeup products that I would think of straight away, I think out of everything I would choose to grab my Real Techniques Make-up brushes. I am proud of my growing collection they are by far my favorite brushes and super affordable!

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven't noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs

As I've previously said I am not one for confrontation and I doubt it would have been on purpose, I would just know to never lend them makeup again, I can't actually imagine any of my friends wouldn't repurchase or replace something that they would have messed up.

Inspiration Blogger of the Week #3:

I have been a major fan of Sabrina for at least a year, not only is she an amazing blogger but she also has a youtube channel in which she creates videos on everything from hauls to tutorials. In fact her Youtube channel is what drew me into searching the web for her blog.

Now she hasn't posted much this year but her dedication to both her blog and her youtube channel is profound, not only that but she is down to earth and I've been particularly lucky for her to have tweeted me back (major fan girl moment trust me!)

Her tutorials are effortless and she combines not only high end products but manages to sneak in products on the cheaper scale in there, recently she created a Mila Kunis inspired make-up look using only Primark make-up from there new range. (click here to watch)

In general I cannot begin to explain and encourage you guys to check her out, her success along with her beauty (*crushing*) is on the up and I'll be privileged to watch her rise.

Blogger Inspiration of the week #2

Fashion Train, AKA Becca.

Becca has been one of the most inspirational bloggers of the past year for me, she doesn't just blog about one specific thing but it ranges from beauty products to outfit posts. Her outfit posts are by far my favorite type of posts that she creates, they have an amazing range from daytime to night time and half of the time it has me reaching for my debit card (Bad influence Becca haha).

I still remember when she retweeted me and when she likes my photos on instagram, trust me I had a fan girl moment haha! If I can be anywhere near as stylish and successful as Becca is then I will be an extremely happy girl. So if for some reason you read my post and have not glanced at Becca's blog, head over there now. You wont be disappointed!

Blogger Inspiration of the week #1

Tilly-Jane.

Tilly is an amazing fashion blogger who never fails to give me fashion and outfit inspiration, not only is she beautiful in what she wears but she has the brains to match currently studying fashion marketing at university.

I seriously get fashion envy when she posts something new, her eye for fashion is flawless and I get excited when I see her appear on my blogger home page. Her recent post has to be my favorite yet, a pop of pastel pink from a jumpsuit surrounded by black give it a bold and yet feminine feel that every woman desires.

I feel that Tilly-Jane needs more recognition, her outfits should be plastered everywhere (they have already been featured in a few magazines), as she says in her " about me" section fashion is her passion and life. I can see why.

Foodie Moment: Oreo Cheesecake (Non bake)

Oh Hey!

So I realise things like this aren't the norm on a beauty blog but I couldn't resist, who doesn't love a cheesecake let alone a oreo one?!? Obviously you can change the oreos for something else perhaps a favorite chocolate as long as you use a biscuit base, so here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
Base:
* 150g Oreo Biscuit (Crushed)
* 75g Unsalted Butter (Melted)

Filling:
* 500g Full Fat Cream Cheese
* 300ml Chilled Double Cream
* 1/2 Cup of Icing Sugar (I use this as I feel it helps set the Cheesecake better)
* 6 Oreos (Crumbled)

(Optional) Decoration:
* Crumbled Oreo Biscuit
* Mini Oreos

Method:
1. Lightly grease a Spring form cake tin with softened butter and set aside.
2. Mix together the crushed Oreo with the butter, tip into the cake tin and using the back of a tablespoon or wooden spoon and press the base down. Then place into the refrigerator to chill.
3. Whilst the base is chilling it's time to make the filling. Place the cream into a mixing bowl and whisk until soft peaks have formed. Then whisk in the cream cheese and mix until smooth. Fold in the icing sugar and crumbled Oreos.
4. Pour mixture onto base and smooth over with a spatula. Decorate if preferred. Allow to set for a minimum of 6 hours.
5. Cut and enjoy!!!

Short and simple.
Thats all for now

Birthday Dress!

Oh Hey!

I feel like I've been MIA for a long time and for that I apologise, so to inform you all my birthday is in little over a month (7th of February to be exact) and so a killer dress to dance the night away is essential. I've been scouring the internet for weeks and finally I settled on something, not quite the dress form but instead a tailored jumpsuit from Missguided.

I thought the brightness of the blue would make me stand out as the birthday girl, teamed with gold accessories adds class and definition. I also bought a belt to eventuate my waist all that is needed now is the heels and jewelry.

I will definitely be making a post on my birthday weekend, including this completed clubbing look and my recycled dress outfit for dinner.

Mini Boohoo Haul FT. Outfit Ideas

Oh Hey!

So recently I was browsing the Boohoo website, as you do, and I came across this snazzy shift dress at a bargain £5 (apparently it has increased in price since the time I bought it). What did I do you ask? BUY IT! (and maybe a clutch to go with it... oops). Here's a few outfit ideas I put together with the dress and clutch.

So for a more dressy look I paired the dress and clutch with a pair of suede flatforms from Primark (a bargain at £12) you could also add a statement necklace if you feel particularly brave or just add red lips.

For a much more casual look I paired the dress and clutch with my pair of high top white converses (excuse the fact that they look grey, they may need washing). You could pair it with tights and a loose fitted blazer for a more slouchy appearance.

For the final look a more rock chick look I paired the dress and clutch with my heeled boots from New Look to give it a more edgy look. You could also pair it with a leather jacket and tights and backcombed hair.

Sorry about how short this post is, thought I'd quickly make it before work.

Shop Of The Week: Topshop

New year and the new season of clothes are in, is it too early to be excited about summer? I have a number of things to be excited about this year, I'm off to university soon and we have a big family announcement coming soon that I will tell you guys about when I can. Anyway my shop of the week is Topshop, and just a warning all the clothes here are in the petites section.

This beautiful red velvet skater skirt is right up my alley, I already have amazing velvet leggings from Primark so this skirt would be an amazing addition to my wardrobe. Pair this causally with a cute t shirt and a pair of boots or style it up with a bralet and some heels. A steal at £32!

This cute crocodile patterned embossed leggings are cute and basic in anybodies wardrobe and at £22 it isn't to bad for a basic. Style up with a slouchy tshirt, heels and statement necklace. Style down with a cute jumper and flats.

I''m completely in love with Topshop shoes at the moment and these two caught my eye, these beautiful Chelsea boots (£42) are a great investment in any girls wardrobe. I missed Chelsea boots the first time they came round however it looks like I will have to purchase a pair of these bad boys definite key piece for a capsule wardrobe, style up or down.

Shock horror I don't really own any kind of sneaker shoes aside from 4 pairs of vans so these "Chukka Boots" (£32) are something that I feel the need to invest in. I don't have many days off work anymore so I don't really have many clothes to relax in let alone any shoes, these particular pair look easy to style for day or night.

So these are only a few pieces from the Topshop website, have you guys seen anything you like???
